Special visitors to school

We had two very special visitors to school today – Michael from Animal Care brought Oaty to school for the day.  Oaty is an adorable border collie, who was delighted to meet the children and staff at St Teresas.  The Animal Care is a self funded charity based near Lancaster (http://www.animalcare-lancaster.co.uk), who look after abandoned and unwanted animals until they can find a loving forever home for them.  Michael is a qualified teacher and he provides an education service to teach children about responsible pet ownership and treating animals with respect.  Michael and Oaty spent the whole day in school, visiting different classrooms and finished the day off with an assembly to some of our KS2 children.  Take a look at our gallery …
