During World Book Day we dressed up as characters from brilliant book by Drew Daywalt “The Day The Crayons Quit.” Our children took part in lots of different activities based on the book including persuasive writing to encourage the crayons to come back; making 3D crayons and finishing the day with the sequel “The Day The Crayons Came Home.” We hosted a swap shop at break time to recycle pre-loved books, and the children enjoyed a “Harry Potter” themed lunch, with the opportunity to win a family ticket to Harry Potter studios by designing a sorting hat.
