Welcome to Reception – Oak Class
In Oak class we have...
The Class Teacher; Mrs Bridges
The Teaching Assistant is; Mrs Bell
Mrs Mellor and Mrs Brown are also our dinnertime supervisors.
In Reception Class the children have lots and lots of fun.....every day. Daily they are busy exploring the different areas in our classroom both inside and outside. They are provided with ample opportunities to explore, discover and learn across the 7 areas of learning. These include;
Physical Development
Communication and Language
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Mathematics
Literacy
Understanding the World
Expressive Arts and Design.
Our curriculum focuses on the above learning areas; where a combination of independent play in a quality learning environment and adult led activities allow the children to thrive.
We run Stay and Play sessions for our parents every half term and love sharing what we have been learning with our families!
We had our second Stay and Play during Nursery Rhyme week for Reception and Nursery. The children and parents did craft activities together all based around Nursery Rhymes and then we had a sing song with staff dressing up in lots of costumes. Which is your favourite?
Everyone had a great time; the children sang along, the parents joined in too!
