St Teresa's Catholic Primary School

Welcome

Welcome to St Teresa's Catholic Primary School website.   All schools have their own distinctive ‘feel’ which makes each one unique. We believe that the ‘special feel’ at St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School is to do with our loving, caring, friendly atmosphere, based on Gospel values. Our school ethos is ‘live, love and learn’.

It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as the Executive Headteacher of St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School. Since my appointment, I have visited classes and held assemblies and played football! I been very impressed by the atmosphere and warm welcome I have received from the children and staff.

My priorities as Executive Headteacher are; great teaching, impeccable behaviour, excellent examination outcomes and the widest possible range of high quality extra-curricular experiences for all children. With a clear focus and lots of hard work, these things are all eminently achievable and will deliver what I think most parents want – happy children who enjoy school, learn well and leave school well-equipped to cope with the next stage in their education.

My promise to you is that I will work tirelessly to ensure that St Teresa’s School provides the very best of primary education; one in which every single child fulfils their true potential in all areas.

This is a school with many strengths. I intend to build on the things that are working well but also improve academic standards and opportunities. I bring with me a good deal of experience when it comes to raising achievement and will be challenging staff to enable the children to be stretched, challenged and supported to achieve their absolute potential.

If you are enquiring about a school place, or have a child ready to start nursery or reception in September 2024, please get in touch with us. A telephone call to the school office on 01772 797397 is all that is needed to arrange a tour of the school.

I look forward to meeting you

Mrs Catherine Monaghan

Executive Headteacher
