In Reception Class the children have lots and lots of fun.....every day. Daily they are busy exploring the different areas in our classroom both inside and outside. They are provided with ample opportunities to explore, discover and learn across the 7 areas of learning. These include;
Physical Development
Communication and Language
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Mathematics
Literacy
Understanding the World
Expressive Arts and Design.
Our curriculum focuses on the above learning areas; where a combination of independent play in a quality learning environment and adult led activities allow the children to thrive.
We run Stay and Play sessions for our parents every half term and love sharing what we have been learning with our families!
Each Stay and Play has a different theme; welcome to EYFS, Nursery Rhyme Week, Christmas Craft, Chinese New Year and Special People, to name a few! We love sharing our learning with our families!
Please see the links below to find out more about our Reception Class..
For Shrove Tuesday we make and ate pancakes, did some pancake writing, made patterns with our toppings and plotted out the worlds biggest pancake on the field!
EYFS enjoy exploring the world around us! We Went on a nature walk to look at the changes of the seasons, we walk to the shop to buy vegetables for our soup and we go on different trips throughout the year.
Our recent trip was to Imagine That! We had the best time and learnt lots of new things!
